The Corporation GEInnova “Support the Business Development in the Department of Chocó”
The December 28, 2007 was signed the instrument establishing the incubator of Chocó in the boardroom of the National Training Service, SENA Regional Choco, institution which has been supporting the process from the beginning and hopes to associate itself with the initiative between the months of June and July 2008, in accordance with the agreement 00010 2006, approved by the Board of Directors of the National SENA, which establishes the rules of procedure of the national programme and Support Strengthening business incubator.
The constitution document was initialled by Burny Lucas Perea Gil Alexis Faruth Perea Sanchez, Amy Del Mar Piñeres Salazar, Ali Gomez Renteria, Jhon Derling Delgado Cardona and Ricardo Sanabria Botero, experienced professionals in various sectors who assumed the challenge for a couple of years ago to build and operate the first Business Incubator of the Department of Chocó.
During the meeting Dr. Betty Eugenia Moreno Moreno, Director Regional of the SENA expressed the commitment of the entity itself and support this initiative, similarly reminded those present the great responsibility that supposed to launch a process of incubation companies in a region like Chocó, where everything was done and also to work for the increased business the institution should contribute to the consolidation in the medium and long term, a new generation of entrepreneurs and business people who contribute to the development of production, business and social Department.
As agreed by the six original members, the Internet Corporation GEInnova was established as an incubator of technology-based companies, meaning the process of promoting business development and the consolidation of entrepreneurial ability of the inhabitants of the department of Choco. The organization will promote business processes that generate development in the region, encourage the growth of business and the entrepreneurial culture, to support the creation of technology-based companies.
The founders of GEInnova have left open the possibility that future entity can incorporate as members to different regional players, whether institutions, companies and / or individuals who develop common or complementary activities to business development, which express interest to be bound and comply with the requirements established for that purpose, including those organizations and individuals who may be linked after having involvement in the Board of Directors.
The idea of setting up a business incubator in the Department of Chocó is not new, this is an initiative proposed since 2002 by SENA, however after several meetings it did not have allies that at the regional level would form and boost this undertaking.
The initiative was taken up later to be driven firmly in the year 2005 by entrepreneurs Chocoanos, who hoped to consolidate an entity capable of assisting in the creation, growth and consolidation of innovative enterprises in the department of Choco, with the backing of the SENA Regional Choco.
However, the signing of minutes constitution implies first and foremost requirement to complete the legal GEInnova support, political support of local authorities and manage financial resources to guarantee its operation, as well as leveraging projects entrepreneurs join in the process of Business Incubation. In addition to the association SENA the incubator and inclusion of the same in the National Business Incubation Creation and SNCIE.
GEInnova is an organization that embraces entrepreneurs and interacts with them. Such interaction is done with the purpose of expanding the cooperation networks and the entrepreneurial innovation.
